Working on a multimillion-dollar super yacht is an amazing experience for Terra Cat’s Auckland marine technicians.
After the 78.5-metre Rocinante arrived in New Zealand in November, its engineers contacted Terra Cat about load testing the generators. The vessel runs two Cat 3516 DITAs as main engines and three C18’s for their generators.
Our team followed the highest safety standards, with strict quarantine procedures.
With a longer stay in port due to COVID-19, we’ve since overhauled and repaired various engines and generators. We took the utmost care to protect surrounding areas and avoid any damage. Parts were painted during the process to ensure a high super yacht finish on the engine.
With the yacht’s engineers satisfied with our work, a full overhaul of the main engine is now planned.
