Martin Dowling has been with Sime Darby since 2013 and joined Terra Cat in Auckland after Sime Darby acquired the business in 2019. Martin is excited about helping to invest in and grow the business to realise the full potential for Caterpillar in New Zealand.
Martin has over 25 years in the industry, starting at a remote Newmont gold mine in Australia. He then worked with major miners BHP and Peabody as well as Komatsu before joining Sime Darby.
A qualified accountant, Martin also has an MBA and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Martin’s responsibilities at Terra include:
Strategic collaboration driving profitable growth and return on invested capital
Financial and commercial governance of the organisation in support of strategic goals
Martin has two teenagers, so spends most spare time helping them with school or extracurricular activities. Apart from that, he likes keeping healthy so he does CrossFit.
